John Twomey came to Harbor House over 4 years ago from South Carolina. He prides himself being a part of the community, as well as being a part of the guys lives. He strives to create the same environment that he experienced so that can be the case for others. John has been working as an assistant manager since the beginning of 2023 and his focus is to bring the love and tolerance that he was so freely given. In 1994, Perry separated the age groups and opened a second sober living house for men in the Torrance, California area to accommodate the older adults.
Treatment
Although he primarily focuses on TMS and psychopharmacology, he is trained in various modalities of psychotherapy including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. He is a clinical instructor at UCLA, and has been selected to be on the list for Southern California Super Doctors for 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015. Dr. Lichtman brings his extensive experience with addiction psychiatry to serving the young men of Harbor House. Being in recovery himself, he is an advocate for utilizing the 12 steps and has honed his skills at assisting clients and their families incorporate them while recognizing them as part of a comprehensive plan for recovery.
